Introduction
Generating much-needed green energy for our homes
Enray is pleased to be presenting their proposals for Molescroft Solar Farm to the north east of Beverley. The proposed 40MW solar farm would be able to generate enough green energy to meet the annual energy needs of approximately 23,945 homes. We are seeking planning permission for a temporary development with an operational period of up to 40 years.
Feedback from the local community is important to us and we want to hear your thoughts on our proposals for this much-needed renewable energy project.
The consultation will close on Monday 4 August 2025.

“We support the proposals for the solar farm at Molescroft, which align with our wider commitment to sustainable and regenerative farming. This particular land has become increasingly difficult to farm productively due to blackgrass and poor drainage into the River Hull nowadays. Rather than intensify chemical use, we see the solar project as a more sustainable use that works in harmony with our ethos – helping support food production and community initiatives across the wider estate.”
